Milliman Insight Series
How a global actuarial consulting firm brings fun and engagement to their deep research.
Milliman is known for its actuarial thought leadership. They produce reports and white papers that range from highly detailed explorations of shifts in health care regulations, to more quirky and esoteric concepts like, what does life insurance look like if we’re able to virtually “live forever”?
Many companies publish reports without visualization, or accompanied by visuals that tend towards vague and general business imagery.
Example “standard” business imagery
To help Milliman engage readers, I create illustrations that aim to sum up the article, pique the viewer’s interest, and resonate in a way that is amusing or otherwise memorable.
This is an ongoing series, and I have designed more than 100 Insight images over the last few years. Some have been selected for juried competitions in American Illustration and Communication Arts.
